Chiara Masci


Role in HEAD: P.h.D. student involved in education research topic.


Chiara Masci was born in Milano, Italy, in 1990. She received both the Bachelor and the Master of Science in Mathematical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2012 and 2014 respectively. From April to June 2015 she spent three months as a visiting student at KULeuven, in Belgium. Since October 2015 she is a P.h.D. student in Mathematical Models and Methods in Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. She is currently member of MOX, modelling and scientific computing laboratory. Her research interests focus on statistical methods for studying hierarchical data, multilevel linear models, non-parametric mixed-effects models, classification and regression trees and mixed-effects regression trees. She is currently involved in the Horizon 2020 Twinning project EDEN in the field of Education economics, together with Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven and University of Maastricht.
